National Association of Professional Women Inducts Angela F. Carter, M.B.A., Consultant at AFC Power Strategy Group, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Angela F. Carter as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in consulting. Born into an entrepreneurial family in the fast-paced, thriving city of Los Angeles, Ms. Carter was just three years old when she was first exposed to the business world at large. With her parents Dr. L.C. and Olivia Carter as her guiding mentors, she spent much of her childhood learning the ins and outs of running a business and perfecting her skills in consulting.
Ms. Carter had initially set out to attain a degree in medicine when she was brought on to help the owner of a well-known production company to organize administrative processes for his clients’ projects. Her first project was a sold-out Summer Jam concert, hosting a crowd of over 5,000 people and five major Gospel artists. After delighting the client with the concert’s successful execution, she was hired as a Junior Consultant at the age of 19. It was this expe-rience that prompted her to pursue a career utilizing her innate gifts in identifying areas for process improvement and solving complex business challenges.
“Solutions are in my DNA,” said Ms. Carter. “My father always told me I have a gift for helping people find the answers to their problems. I wanted to take this idea and assist people in a variety of industries using different approaches, which led me to believe management consulting would be a great fit for me.”
Shortly after receiving her M.B.A., Ms. Carter began her journey at AFC Power Strategy Group, Inc. in June 2014 and has not looked back since. With her proven talents in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, and critical thinking, she has helped countless clients with business solutions that help them achieve their desired goals.
